The live-action remake of Disney's classic Lion King is happening.
Donald Glover, who's already signed on to fulfill the iconic role of a young Lando Calrissian in an upcoming Star Wars prequel, is confirmed to carry the film, taking on the titular character of Simba.
And James Earl Jones, who voiced the cub's father in the animated feature, will reprise his role as Mufasa.
But to play Simba's best friend-turned-love interest Nala, director Jon Favreau has only one star in mind: Beyoncé.
In fact, according to Variety, Favreau so badly wants the singer to take on the role that he "will do whatever it takes to accommodate her schedule."
As we know, Bey is currently pregnant with twins and had to cancel her headlining spot at this year's Coachella music festival to heed doctor's orders. But it's not as if we haven't seen her bounce back before; after giving birth to daughter Blue in January of 2012, Bey hit the stage again for a four-date residency in Atlantic City just four months later.
And then, of course, the next year, embarked upon her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour.
