Just one week after Lupe Fiasco announced his departure from the rap game--and more than a few months since Lil Wayne impulsively insinuated the same--The Game is also sharing his plans for retirement.
On Sunday, during a stop in Moscow on his 1992 Block Wars tour, The Game revealed to the crowd that his upcoming album (his ninth) would "probably" be his last.
He told the fans:
"When I get back to LA, I'm going straight to jail because I f--ing had a fight with a police officer and shit. So I'm gonna sit down for a minute and write my next album, which is probably gonna be my last album. It's called 'Westside Story,' it's gonna be some ill shit."
That moment, when #TheGame announced that his next album, will be his last album 😳😳😳, its called "Westside Story". Hope that's not true. @50cent also announced about his last project #SKI, now Game... @losangelesconfidential #GameTime #TheGame #50Cent #BudArena #WinnersCircle #BWS #Moscow #LilWayne #Russia #BloodMoney #1992BlockWarsTour #BlockWarsTour #GUnit #EuropeanTour #BloodMoneyENT
The incident the rapper could likely be referring to stems from March 2015 when he allegedly punched an off-duty cop during a basketball game. He turned himself in to authorities in June and was arrested and booked on suspicion of making criminal threats. He posted $50,000 bail within the hour and was released. In December, The Game pleaded not guilty to charges filed, but a judge ruled there was sufficient evidence for him to stand trial.
