Despite announcing last December that he'd be releasing a set of three albums this year, his program for entrepreneurs expanding, and his classic debut album Food & Liquor celebrating its 10th anniversary, Lupe Fiasco is calling it quits with music.

Sounding defeated, the rapper announced on his private Twitter account earlier today that he is retiring, writing:

"I get the hint God. Yo Lupe fans it's been fun and I hope you've had fun. I'm officially not releasing anymore music. Albums cancelled."

The news comes less than a day after the rapper released a freestyle over J. Cole's "Everybody Dies" beat.

Lupe's last album, Tetsuo & Youth, was released early last year and debuted at number 14 on the Billboard 200 despite receiving little to no promotion from Atlantic Records, more evidence of the artist and label's troubled relationship.
