Master P on his contribution to Solange's new album, "A Seat at the Table"

“I just want to see her win,” said Master P, who figures prominently on the singer’s current project.

If you’ve listened to A Seat at the Table, the glorious album released today (September 30) by Solange, you’ve noticed a familiar voice throughout. Master P, one of hip-hop’s first self-made moguls, serves as a narrator of sorts, dropping gems of advice in several interludes. The New Orleans native and the 504’s adopted daughter joined forces for a collaboration built on mutual respect. In an exclusive interview with REVOLT, Master P told us he’s proud of the Saint Heron songbird.

“I feel like she been through a lot and she been in the shadow, but you know, it’s like, she still got her own presence. I’m proud of her; I think that she gonna go a long way. She’s opening up a lot of doors on her own.”
