All the signs, hype and anticipation has come down to this. Danny Brown is ready to drop his new album, Atrocity Exhibition.

While this was made clear a few months back, the Detroit rapper now reveals a ton of new info regarding the long-awaited followup to 2013's Old and debut for new label Warp Record. In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Brown explains this new LP will be "just my sound."

"With Old, I wanted to have those performance songs so I can play those shows," he told the publication. "That was what was a part of my world, doing festivals. Whereas this album is just my sound. This is Danny Brown."

In addition to his approach on the forthcoming LP, which is slated for September 30, Brown also revealed how much he invested into making this project special. Linking with longtime collaborator Paul White ("Scrap or Die," "When It Rain"), the duo collected a variety of "angular, crunchy, bonkers, sample-based hip-hop" records that altogether ran for $70,000.

"I wanna make timeless stuff, so you're gonna have to spend a couple dollars," he admitted. "You could have a Rolex or you can have a Swatch."

Brown's Atrocity Exhibition will boast 14 tracks, including appearances from Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul, Earl Sweatshirt, Kelela and B-Real. The album is due September 30.
