Bon Iver's frontman Justin Vernon and the National's Aaron Dessner are collaborating on more than just their upcoming curated music festival, this month's Eaux Claires; the two men are also teaming up to organize a new not-for-profit two-day music event in Berlin.
All artists are contributing free of fees, there are no sponsors or commercial interests, and the ticket price of 80 euros (or $89 in USD) reflects production costs. Prior to the event, "all the artists will spend a week together…in Berlin, working, rehearsing and trying new things in the spaces where the shows will take place."
The still-nameless event goes down at Funkhaus, the historical radio recording home of the German Democratic Republic, on October 1 and 2. Team work, dream work FTW.
