Never one to back down from (or start) a fight, M.I.A. has set her crosshairs on MTV.

Upon recognizing that her video for "Borders", which shines an unapologetic light on the current refugee crisis. did not receive a nomination for the music network’s 2016 Video Music Awards, the rapper took to Twitter to call MTV out.

She slammed the channel for being racist and classist and for ignoring "excluded voices," but ultimately decided she, and other world artists, didn't need their recognition.

VMA Smackdown: Let's really discuss these 5 Video of the Year nominees

"MIA - BORDERS is not included in the VMAs #hahahahhaahahhaha!! Racism sexism classism elitism #dontwantyourlane! BORDERS came representing people outside US showing [the world]. This is a perfect example of "allowed" voice vs excluded voices .Even if U direct it. not here 4 EGO or Accolades but know before you tell other [world] artists they have the same platform as major US artists coz they don't. #fucktheVMAs we don't need their recognition !!"
