With the recent murders of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile, along with the many other lives lost within the past couple of weeks by law enforcement, several artists have utilized their platform to do more than just send powerful tweets and IG captions.

Jay Z Sounds Off On New Song "Spiritual"

Last night (July 7), Jay Z released a poignant open letter through song, called "Spiritual." This morning (July 8), Miguel , who is currently in London preparing for a performance as part of the Wireless Festival, took time to release "How Many," a track that questions the rash of police violence in the U.S. In a note released with the record, the singer explained the song is a rough version for now. “Ill update this song every week until its complete," he wrote. Along with Jigga and Miguel, several others have used their voice to speak out against the subject of injustice.
