It sounds like Tyga finally understood what the world was trying to tell him for over a year: Dating minors is a bad idea. The 26-year-old rapper spoke to Big Boy on Friday (June 17) about his relationship with now 18-year-old Kylie Jenner.
"Maybe later on in life, maybe we might come back," he told radio host Big Boy. "She's young. When you're young, you're going to make mistakes."
Tyga also admitted that his relationship consumed more of the spotlight than his career. Did he not consider this when he decided to date a reality show star?
"Being in that [relationship], it took a lot, career-wise, everything. It overshadowed a lot of my talents and a lot of things that I worked hard for."
Unsurprisingly, he found all the attention to be stressful. Tyga said he plans to get back to putting his career first. "All of those mistakes are going to be in the public eye, so that puts a lot of strain on the relationship," he said. "Right now, I want to focus on what I need to do. I just wanted to get back to just me. I think for her as well."
