BJ The Chicago Kid’s fans have been holding out for that Motown debut, and now that the album is here, he has a string of ways to show his appreciation. Off his recent studio album In My Mind, his latest supporting visual comes in the form of a short film of sorts entitled, A Day In My Mind.

Directed by Shawny Ocho, the video features album tracks “Woman’s World” and a cameo from TDE rapper Jay Rock, for a heavy-hitting verse over the smoldering soul single “Oh My God.” The clips follows the singer as he starts his day in L.A. at 8 a.m., before driving around the city with Jay Rock and making his way to a studio rehearsal session. From there, we’re treated to a full-band performance of “Woman’s World,” as BJ leaves an imprint of his pain and growth behind.
