A$AP Ferg Taps Missy Elliott, Chris Brown For ‘Very Personal’ Album
BY Ralph Bristout / 1.22.2016
He was Trap Lord on the last album, but now A$AP Ferg sounds like he’s entering Hood Pope terrain this go around. And by “go around,” we mean the trails currently leading toward his brand new studio album, Always Strive And Prosper.
In between crafting behind the scene work on projects like his Traplord x adi-Ease Collection and a slew of art projects (more on that later), the A$AP Mob firebrand has also been busy finishing up the long-awaited sophomore project, which will arrive via RCA/Polo Grounds/A$AP Worldwide.
This month will mark two and a half years since the release of Trap Lord, his debut album, but as Ferg tells REVOLT the new LP is well worth the wait.”
“I got everyone from Chris Brown, Swizz Beatz, Missy [Elliott], Future, Rick Ross, I’m giving y’all a lot right now,” he teased, while revealing the album’s all-star cast. But beyond the A-list line-up, the main attraction will be the material, which Ferg promises to be his “best work yet.”
“It’s going to be very real this album. This album is a story of my life. It’s basically a documentary of my life and it’s very personal. Honestly, it’s my best work yet and I don’t even know what else I’ma do to top this in the future because it’s just my all right now,” he added.
If that doesn’t toss this album up a few notches higher on the ‘Highly-Anticipated Album’ lists, then fans will just have to wait once Ferg’s Always Strive And Prosper hits stores next month.
