Frank Ocean is diving into the world of luxury.
In a Friday (Aug. 6) press release, Ocean announced Homer, a luxury jewelry line he’s unveiled along with an 84-page catalog. According to the site, the brand’s website, “The first Homer collection comprises fine and high jewelry pieces, plus printed silk scarves. The pieces are handcrafted using 18K gold, recycled sterling silver, hand-painted enamel, and American lab-grown diamonds.”
While the new collection gives Ocean another way to showcase his creativity, his fans are no doubt wishing that Ocean made an announcement regarding new music. His most recent album, Blonde, was released five years ago. The fans are hungry, but at least they get to cop some cool stuff from the acclaimed creator.
While fans haven’t gotten the Frank Ocean announcement they want the most, there was recently some awesome news—even if the subject is kind of far away. Speaking with the Los Angeles Times, Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival co-founder Paul Tollett said that Ocean would be headlining Coachella 2023.
“Right now, it’s the Wild West,” he said at the time. “I’m just trying to be as fair as I can to artists and to the fans to make sure that eventually they get to see everyone that we talked about.”
Other music festivals have returned, but Coachella won’t be back until next spring. The headlining performances for that festival consist of Lauryn Hill, Usher, Ludacris, Lil Jon, TLC, Ciara and Nelly, while the likes of Ashanti, Brandy, Monica, Ne-Yo, Trey Songz, Akon, Ja Rule, Timbaland, T-Pain, Lil Kim and Fabolous.
Fans can see those acts when Coachella 2022 unfolds next April. Hopefully, by then Ocean will have a new project to perform. Be on the lookout for more updates on Ocean. For now, check out his Homer website here.
