“He’s done it again,” one fan remarked.

It’s Friday morning (Aug. 6) and there’s still no Donda. Kanye West once again missed the release date for his highly anticipated 10th studio album despite holding a livestreamed countdown for the record’s purported release last night (Aug. 5).

Thousands of fans tuned in to Apple Music to watch Ye’s second Donda livestreaming event, which saw him levitating above the Atlanta Mercedes-Benz Stadium. During the stream, fans got to preview the latest version of the album and listen to never-before-heard collaborations with the likes of Lil Durk, The Weeknd, Travis Scott, Jay Electronica and more. According to fans who tuned into Ye’s first Donda listening party last month, the album also features JAY-Z, Playboi Carti, Lil Baby and others.

On Twitter, fans were both amused and frustrated by Donda’s delayed release.

“The moment I heard Kanye was paying $1 million a day to stay in the stadium… just to start his career of cutting hair… I should have known DONDA aint finna drop,” DJ Akademiks wrote.

“He’s done it again lol. WHERE IS DONDA KANYE????” another added.

However, some fans held out hope that Donda could still surface at some point today after seeing a tweet from Justin LaBoy.

“Listen ima be honest… Via Kanye it’s coming out at some point August 6th… NO SPECIFIC TIME,” LaBoy, who first announced that the album would be arriving Aug. 6, tweeted Thursday night.

Currently, Donda is listed as available for pre-order beginning Saturday (Aug. 7) on iTunes. The album appears on the platform with no cover art and 24 untitled songs.

Elsewhere on Twitter, LaBoy also claimed that Donda will be followed up by JAY-Z and Ye’s Watch the Throne sequel.

“HOV & YE back building again,” he wrote. “They both rich enough to quit rapping, but the passion they share of making the fans happy got them back working.”
