It looks like new Post Malone music is incoming.
On Sunday (July 4), his manager Dre London jumped onto Instagram to announce that Posty’s new single, which is titled “Motley Crew,” is all set to drop this Friday. In the caption for the post, which includes what appears to be a snippet of the new song, he wishes Posty a happy birthday while announcing that Post has a new full-length project and a concert documentary on the way.
“Happy Birthday my brother @postmalone,” reads London’s caption. “I tell u all the time you are 1 of the realest Americans I ever met!! So of course your day is today! This week we celebrated by shooting a MOVIE! I’m excited to finally announce new single ‘Motley Crew’ dropping Friday! Full project with concert doc coming real soon! #DreVision 👁 #2021.”
In a video that’s in the post, the sounds of Posty’s new song can be heard playing as a large group of people party on what looks like the set of a music video. The sound features a pulsating beat and Posty’s customary flurry of melodic flows, so it’s safe to say this one will also be a banger.
This news arrives nearly two years after the release of Hollywood’s Bleeding, a massively successful Posty LP that only fortified his position as one of the most commercially dominant artists in music. In an interview he gave Wall Street Journal Magazine last summer, Post said he wanted his new album to be a jolt of positivity.
“I want to make an album that will uplift and show that people are not alone in their times of loneliness and worry and that at the end of the day we all just need to show love to everyone on the planet and figure things out,” he said. “So, we’re working pretty hard and I think we’re making some incredible stuff.”
Here’s to hoping that the latest project from the Beerbongs & Bentleys artist drops soon. Check out the announcement below.
