Is a new Kanye West song about to debut tonight? It’s beginning to look that way.

Earlier today (July 20), Beats by Dre posted a tweet that tagged Yeezy and U.S. sprinter Sha’Carri Richardson and mentioned Game 6 in an apparent allusion to tonight’s 2021 NBA Finals game.

The tweet reads: “Tonight. Game 6. @itskerrii. @kanyewest.” Not too much there, but at the same time, amid the spread of rumors regarding Yeezy’s forthcoming new album, it’s tantalizing.

People on social media are speculating that the tweet means that Beats will air a new commercial featuring Richardson and Kanye during Game 6 of the NBA Finals tonight. If that is the case, there’s a chance it’s part of the rollout for Kanye’s new LP, which is rumored to drop this week.

Buzz surrounding Kanye’s new album has grown a lot over the last few days. Justin LaBoy tweeted about the LP, heaping a lot of praise on the project. In a since-deleted Instagram post, Kanye associate Consequence posted drawings of what looked like plans for a Yeezy set at Rolling Loud Miami, which is set to begin this Friday.

On the concrete end of things, there is set to be a listening party for Kanye’s new album in Atlanta this Thursday. Any way you look at it, it appears that a lot of fans will get to hear the new LP very soon.

Now, getting back to the potential Beats commercial, it’s interesting to consider where Richardson might fit into it. She is is coming off being prevented from competing in Tokyo for the Olympic Games after marijuana was found in her system when she was drug tested. In the wake of the news, she apologized, but a lot of people thought she didn’t need to, and she got a ton of support from fans across the globe. If there is a commercial, there’s a chance it could broadly address this recent event, but considering her success, there’s also a chance it just focuses on her dominance.
