Three suspects were charged in connection with the burglary of an apartment used for one of 50 Cent’s businesses. As TMZ reported, Matthew Gale, Richard Murphy and Travis Villalobos were arrested following a five-month investigation into the case.

On Jan. 16, the men allegedly took a trip to 50’s property in Cliffside, New Jersey while he was away in Miami and forcibly made their way through a garage window and into his office space. After successfully unlocking the safe, they made off with “approximately $3 million in U.S. currency and jewelry,” according to Bergen County prosecutor Mark Musella. 50 subsequently reported the theft, but authorities — who found a stolen vehicle in the area — were unable to identify the individuals, who were actually in the unit when they responded to calls of the incident.

When a neighbor reported the heist, law enforcement revisited the video of the theft and realized that the stolen car was used by the suspects to flee the scene of the crime. Five months later, cops have finally tracked down all individuals believed to involved in the robbery. Per The Daily Voice, Gale was taken into police custody on May 19 after a SWAT team raided his home. Villalobos was captured six days later in Broward County, Florida, and Murphy was arrested in Kearny, New Jersey. The three suspects have all been charged with grand theft, burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief. Authorities are hoping to recover the stolen jewelry or return the full $3 million to Fif.

The arrest of 50 Cent’s burglar suspects comes days after Akon revealed he would not press charges against the individual who stole his Tesla as he filling it up with gas.

“That was him before he was blessed with this success so he understands the struggle,” a representative of Akon recently explained after the car was retrieved. “He doesn’t plan to press charges, so he hopes they take that as a second chance to focus on a more positive approach to getting out the hood and make use of the time they have out of jail to better their lives.”
