DMX’s children made their way to White Plains, New York to visit their father, who he is currently fighting for his life in ICU.
According to the latest TMZ report about the rapper, a few of X’s kids arrived at the White Plains hospital where their father is staying and will be permitted to see him one at a time due to the medical center’s COVID-19 regulations. It’s not clear how many of his children showed up, but they join X’s mom, Arnett Simmons, and fiancée, Desiree Lindstrom, who have reportedy been by his side since the incident.
As previously reported by REVOLT, a prayer vigil is set to take place outside of the hospital today (April 5). It is said to be a joint effort between the family and the Ruff Ryders to the Rescue Foundation.
News of DMX’s hospitalization shocked fans who woke up early Saturday morning (April 3) to learn that he suffered from a drug overdose that resulted in a heart attack. Social media feeds were filled with posts from supporters, peers and members of the hip hop industry. The tributes honored X’s contribution to rap music and expressed desires to see him overcome this tragic obstacle.
Additionally, fans blared his music all weekend. A crew of bike riders pulled up to the hospital on Sunday (April 4) and played X’s “Where The Hood At?” in an effort to support the rapper.
“The Simmons Family appreciates the overwhelming outpouring of heartfelt love, encouragement, support and prayers for Earl,” DMX’s family said in a statement to TMZ. “Earl is someone whose life and music have been a source of inspiration and strength to so many people around the world. It is reassuring to see his fans return that same passion and energy to him during his time of need.”
