JT has responded to fans after a heated Instagram Live session between her boyfriend Lil Uzi Vert and Yung Miami went viral last week. After deactivating her Twitter amidst fans’ initial reaction, the City Girls rapper took to Instagram to claim that the conversation was just an “inside joke.”
“That was an inside joke. He was literally talking in code,” JT said of Uzi. “And after that [he] said he loved her and some more shit. When did he call her a bitch?”
JT further told fans to “move on” from the incident.
“Y’all are pussies on the internet. A lot of y’all pussies on the internet and painting pictures. That[‘s] why I told him he was too turned up. He always turnt up,” she said.
“Talkin’ ’bout I had to defend my friend. Caresha’s mouth slick as shit. My mouth slick as shit. That girl ain’t gonna sit there and let nobody… she could have easily end[ed] the Live if she felt disrespected,” she continued. “That girl knew we was playing. We was just on FaceTime before we got on Live. Get the fuck out of here.”
The rapper also accused fans of creating a false narrative.
“Y’all wanna make it so bad… ‘She ain’t defend her friend, she let the group down, they’re breaking up.’ Never. Let it go,” she said. “Fuck outta here. Y’all be tryin’ to run with these narratives. Get gone.”
As reported by REVOLT, the Instagram Live session left many fans surprised and confused after Uzi spoke to Miami in a way that some viewers found disrespectful. Southside, who is the father of Miami’s child, caught wind of the video and addressed Uzi in a Live clip of his own.
“You ain’t got one more time to say nothin’ to my bitch, ni**a. I promise you, I’ma punch your teeth out your mouth. Don’t say nothing else,” he warned.
While some fans were glad JT addressed the situation in her own video, others were hesitant to believe that the Live between Uzi and Miami was just a joke.
“You’re in denial,” one viewer commented.
“If it was a joke why [Southside] 808 got involved,” another wrote.
