Jim Jones gave kudos to Bobby Shmurda for serving time “like a real nigga.” On Thursday (April 15), the El Capo emcee hopped on Instagram and posted a video in honor of the rapper and his recent prison release.
In the clip, Shmurda and members of his crew jump in excitement behind Jones, who greets the Brooklyn rapper saying, “Look who[‘s] home.” As Bobby dances with his back faced to the camera, he goes on, “He walked on down on you niggas, you heard? Real niggas in the building. We have to give him his flowers. He did it like he was supposed to.”
“He paid his debt to society like a real nigga do, you heard? Back to the bag.”
Jones continued celebrating Shmurda in the caption to his post, which detailed their first encounter since Bobby’s release from custody.
“First time I seen Bobby last night his energy is impeccable,” the Dipset star explained. “I’m in th[e] studio high as a kite. I hear som[e]body say, ‘I got the billy wit me.’ I look up it’s Bobby bitch @itsbobbyshmurda. We immediately break out into a wrestling match. lol love this fool. As I look at this clip again, I started to laugh n smile all over again.”
“I can say I am genuinely for this young man,” he added. “Yal b celebrating these weirdos, I’m celebrating my heros.”
Shmurda became a free man in February after spending six years behind bars on charges of conspiracy to murder, reckless endangerment and possession of weapons. With the help of his team, he’s acclimated to his rapper lifestyle while abiding by his parole conditions. His random encounter with Jones in the studio aligns with reports that he’s working on a few songs. The rapper recently told fans that “it’s gonna be a hot summer” following the release of his new music.
