Travis Scott helped to feed over 1,000 Houston families following Texas’ deadly winter storm. Over the weekend, the H-Town native and his Cactus Jack Foundation teamed up with the City of Houston and Houston Mayor Sylvestor Turner to host an emergency relief drive at the city’s Willowridge High School.

According to a post from the Cactus Jack Foundation’s Instagram page, the drive-up event gifted over 1,000 families with fresh produce, canned foods, baby supplies, water, masks and PPE gear.

Furthermore, hundreds of Mobile Meal deliveries were also made via trolley by Cactus Jack volunteers to Houston senior citizens and first responders. The Houston Health Foundation, Harvest Market, HCA Houston Healthcare and Fort Bend Independent School District also helped to make the event possible.

Mayor Turner held a press conference at the relief drive where Scott’s sister, Jordan Webster, addressed the crowd.

“The mission for the Cactus Jack Foundation is to empower and enrich the lives in our communities. So, to come out on this day and touch this day and these God-given people and all these families is such a blessing,” she said.

Scott’s emergency relief drive is his second event to help fellow Houstonians recover from last month’s winter emergency. On Feb. 26, the “Sicko Mode” rapper teamed up with the Houston mayor, Houston Health Foundation, restaurant owners and local agencies and organizations to supply over 50,000 meals and cases of water to affected residents.

At the time, a press release stated that emergency resources would be given out to “senior citizens, high-risk and/or homebound adults, people with disabilities, families with children under the age of 18 [and] low income or unemployed [individuals].”

Scott’s charitable events follow in the aftermath of the devastating storm, which President Biden previously declared a major disaster.
