A woman is facing the consequences of her participation in the U.S. Capitol riots. According to Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Jennifer Heinl’s husband wants a divorce after learning she attended the rally at the nation’s capital back in January.
Police detective Michael Heinl reportedly asked his wife Jennifer to stay away from the Trump demonstration. He later discovered a video that showed she not only ignored his request, but attended the rally with another man. He filed for divorce after the devastating revelation.
In addition to being served, Jennifer was identified and arrested in Pennsylvania after the FBI apprehended Kenneth Grayson — the man she was spotted with in the video.
Information from Grayson’s Facebook page revealed the two had been planning their trip to the Capitol since November. Michael — a member of the Shaler Township Police Department and FBI Pittsburgh office’s Violent Crimes Task Force — also confirmed his wife’s role as a Capitol rioter to Police Chief Sean Frank.
“His wife was a part of that situation,” Frank said. “He didn’t condone it. He didn’t ask her to go there. He wasn’t there. He was here working.” Frank also clarified that Michael had no influence on Jennifer’s decision to enter the Captiol building. “She’s an adult, and I don’t think he had any part in her going there,” he said.
Jennifer has since been charged with violent entry, disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds and parading, demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol building. She is one of over 300 rioters arrested in connection to the deadly insurrection.
As previously reported by REVOLT, the Capitol attacks will be examined and explored in a forthcoming limited series that will reportedly air on Showtime. The show will also include Trump’s final days in office and the ongoing investigations by the FBI and Congress.
