Quavo has broken his silence after Saweetie took to Twitter to confirm that the two were no longer an item. On Friday (March 19), the Migos rapper said he was “disappointed” in the way his ex-girlfriend handled their situation publicly. “I know you want to make this into a show, so I’ll play my part just this one time,” he tweeted. “I don’t normally put my business out there, especially my personal life. I feel the need to address this so there are no false narratives.”

“I had love for you and disappointed you did all that,” he added in a follow-up tweet. “You are not the woman I thought you were. I wish you nothing but the best.”

Earlier Friday, Saweetie confirmed that she and Quavo were no longer a couple and she alluded to him cheating on her during their relationship. “I’m single,” she tweeted. “I’ve endured too much betrayal and hurt behind the scenes for a false narrative to be circulating that degrades my character. Presents don’t band-aid scars and the love isn’t real when the intimacy is given to other women.”

“I emotionally checked out a long time ago and have walked away with a deep sense of peace and freedom,” she wrote. “Excited for this new chapter of elevation.”

The pair began dating back in 2018 after Quavo slid into her DMs, but rumors of a potential split hit social media earlier this week. Fans noticed that Saweetie unfollowed the “Workin Me” emcee on Instagram. A few days later, he unfollowed her back.

The Bay Area native added fuel to the fire after she recently made an appearance on REVOLT’s “Respectfully Justin” show. When asked what was the most disrespectful thing a man has ever done to her, she responded, “I think it’s lying. It’s the principle, I don’t like liars.”
