T-Pain revealed that his elderly grandmother is currently in a hospital after contracting COVID-19 from her nurse.
On Sunday night (Oct. 3), the “Buy U a Drank” emcee took to Twitter to share the news and call on people to “help” end the pandemic. “Bro…… my 97 year old grandma….. is in the hospital alone… with Covid…… that she got……. FROM HER FUCKIN NURSE!!!!” he tweeted. “Wtf is wrong with ppl man?! Pls yall. Just explain it to me! Just help us end this shit pls ppl.”
A fan replied to T-Pain’s tweet by saying that the nurse could have been vaccinated and asymptomatic, but that narrative “doesn’t fit the agenda.”
The Florida native replied, “She was not asymptomatic. She was sent home and the hospital had to contact every patient she had come in contact with. Gma got tested when she got there and was negative. Then positive after the nurse was sent home. There’s no agenda. Ppl are assholes.”
Following T-Pain’s news, people on social media sent their prayers to the “Bartender” singer and his grandmother. “Sending love and health to you both,” said one Twitter user, while another tweeted, “Wow bro, I’m so sorry to hear that! Praying for a speedy recovery.”
Although T-Pain did not disclose whether or not the nurse was vaccinated, the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that all healthcare workers receive their vaccination shots.
On Monday (Oct. 4), Northwell Health, New York’s largest hospital system, announced that it fired 1,400 workers for refusing to become vaccinated from COVID-19. Hospital and nursing home health care workers in New York had to receive the first dose of the vaccine by Sept. 27 in order to keep their jobs.
The REVOLT team hopes T-Pain’s grandmother makes a speedy recovery. Check out his tweets below.
