After losing two children within the span of a year, Freeway is looking back on a cherished memory. On Friday (Oct. 29), the Philly rapper took to Instagram to share a throwback photo of him with his late son and daughter. The accompanying caption, void of words, simply included a few heart emojis.
The wordless tribute to his kids comes days after Freeway revealed that his 21-year-old Harmony passed away after a battle with cancer.
“You know the saying sugar and spice and everything nice, well that’s my Harmony! I promise y’all she was the sweetest most kind most caring generous loving adorable person I know. Allah Really blessed me putting her in my life. I love her so much and this hurts so bad,” Freeway wrote, adding that he found comfort in knowing that her faith in Allah was strong.
The sad news, which was met with condolences from Joe Biden, came days before the one-year commemoration of the death of his son Jahad Pridgen, who tragically passed away a year ago. On Thursday (Oct. 28), the rapper shared a heartfelt tribute in honor of the day.
“I thank Allah for giving me the little strength and understanding that I have, because without it who knows where I would be at right now. Today marks one year since my son Jahad passed away,” he penned in a caption.
“I miss him & Love him dearly. I never thought in a million years that I would have to bury his sister almost one year later same month, days apart. It’s almost unbearable. I keep thinking to myself who am I to complain when our beloved prophet (SAW) lost children himself. Please keep my beautiful children & my family in your Duas. Thank you.”
REVOLT continues to send our condolences to Freeway as he mourns the loss of his children. See his posts below.
