YoungBoy Never Broke Again was officially released from jail on Tuesday (Oct. 26) after posting a $500,000 bond; TMZ reports. The 22-year-old rap star spent several months behind bars at the St. Martin Parish Jail in Louisiana on federal gun possession charges.

YoungBoy’s attorneys Drew Findling and Andre Belanger confirmed to the outlet that the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office, which has held the artist in custody since March, gave him his official release documents on Tuesday. However, per his release conditions, the Sincerely, Kentrell crafter will remain on home confinement at his Utah estate until he goes to trial.

Authorities will also reportedly keep track of his location, through either electronic or physical surveillance, as a condition of his release.

As reported by REVOLT, YoungBoy was previously indicted by a grand jury on federal charges of possessing a firearm as a felon and possessing a firearm that wasn’t registered to him.

Fans petitioned for YoungBoy’s freedom on Change.org. The petition, which reached over 150,000 signatures, asked authorities to release the rapper on bond in time for his 22nd birthday, which was on Oct. 20.

“It is with great belief that [YoungBoy] would see this as a great opportunity to ameliorate himself as a person and an artist,” the petition read. “We have watched him grow over the years and he has much more time to better himself,” the petition read. “Being granted a release by the president himself would be life-changing and historical. Not only would the rapper be able to be with his family and friends, but he would be able to provide music for his fans and live his life.”

YoungBoy is expected to remain on home confinement in Utah until his trial date, which has not been set yet. He released his third studio album, Sincerely, Kentrell; last month.
