Bun B received praise after performing an act of kindness.
On Friday (Oct. 8), the UGK rapper was on his way home when he encountered a woman officer with a broken-down vehicle. He reportedly pulled over to assist the Houston cop, an action that was captured by KPRC 2 sports reporter Vanessa Richardson. Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzales later took to Twitter to honor the emcee for being a good samaritan.
“Way to go @BunBTrillOG @houstonpolice!” Gonzales tweeted, bringing attention to Bun B’s gesture. “There are so many ways to help others as part of our everyday lives.”
According to reports, the Texas native had just left the Astros game, where he watched the team beat the Chicago White Sox. During the event, he ran into Senator Tim Cruz, with whom he exchanged a few words.
“Man, fuck you, man!” Bun said. “And I mean fuck you and you a pussy. Fuck you.”
“I do not fuck with this bitch. Get yo’ bitch ass on. The fuck outta here, we don’t fuck with you. Where you goin’ to Cancun, hoe?” the rapper added, specifically referring to the politician’s decision to fly to Cancun amid the aftermath of freezing snow storms in February.
“Whether the decision to go was tone-deaf, look, it was obviously a mistake, and in hindsight I wouldn’t have done it. I was trying to be a dad,” Cruz said in response to the criticism.
“And all of us have mad it, then you’ve got two girls who’ve been cold for two days and haven’t had heat or power, and they’re saying, ‘Hey look we don’t have school, let’s get out of here,’” he added. “I think there are a lot of parents that’d be like, if I can do this, great.”
