Just a few months after announcing her pregnancy, multifaceted artist Kelly Rowland has welcomed her second child into the world.
The “Hitmen” singer hit up her Instagram timeline on Saturday morning (Jan. 30) to share the amazing news with her fans. In the post, Rowland includes a photo of Noah and her six-year-old son Titan. The caption confirms that Noah was actually born on January 21 at 8:13 p.m. Noah arrived at seven pounds, eight ounces, and 19 inches. lbs.
“On the 21st day, of the 21st year, of the 21st Century, Noah Jon Weatherspoon Greeted us!” the singer wrote in her caption. “We are truly grateful.”
Noah is Kelly Rowland’s second child with her husband of six years, Tim Weatherspoon. Rowland had announced her pregnancy back in October 2020. In an interview with Women’s Health, Rowland shared her thoughts about being pregnant during the pandemic.
“We had been talking about it loosely, and then COVID happened, and we were just like, ‘Let’s see what happens,’” Rowland said. “But you still want to remind people that life is important. And being able to have a child… I’m knocking at 40’s door in February. Taking care of myself means a lot to me.”
On the music front, Kelly Rowland is preparing to drop an album. Following the release of her most recent single “Crazy,” the album is expected to reflect Rowland’s 2018 reunion with her biological father who she hadn’t seen in 30 years.
“I’m very excited about this album,” Rowland shared. “I’m excited for the fact that it took years [for] me to find tempo… The whole album’s not up-tempo, but I’m excited to share my tempo.”
Her fifth studio album will be the follow-up to her 2013 LP Talk A Good Game. As of this report, there’s no confirmed release date for her upcoming album.
