Usher and his girlfriend Jenn Goicoechea have welcomed their new baby girl. The R&B sensation announced the arrival of his daughter, named Sovereign Bo Raymond, on Wednesday (Sept. 30) along with an adorable Instagram photo of her teeny-tiny hand.

“We are feeling blessed and full of love with the arrival of our beautiful baby girl, Sovereign Bo Raymond,” Usher captioned the picture of Sovereign’s hand holding his finger. “‘Isn’t She lovely’ by Stevie Wonder on repeat.”

The newborn is Usher and Jenn’s first child together and Usher’s first daughter. According to People, the couple has been dating since at least last October, when they were seen together at a Hollywood Bowl concert.

“Usher and Jenn are overjoyed and so is the whole family, including Sovereign’s big brothers,” a source told the outlet. “Everyone is so happy and excited.”

During a recent appearance on “The Late Late Show with James Corden,” Usher shared the good news and opened up about the challenges of expecting a baby amidst the pandemic.

“It’s been a tough time for everybody; so [it’s] great to have this incredible news, this new arrival. [We’re] really anticipating it,” he said. “I think everybody’s had the opportunity to just take a beat back and realize what really matters in this time — it’s family. It is coming closer to your loved ones and appreciating the ones that you have while you have them.”

The “My Boo” singer also has two sons, 12-year-old Usher and 11-year-old Naviyd, from his previous relationship with Tameka Foster. The former couple married in 2007 and divorced two years later.

Usher also recently announced his first Las Vegas residency, which will take place at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace next July. Earlier this month, he dropped off his new single, “Bad Habits.”
