Nas has revealed the cover art for his next album and shared how many songs will be featured on the project. Late Thursday night (Aug. 13), the veteran rapper confirmed the rumors that he was preparing to release an album executive produced by Hit-Boy. The record — called King’s Disease — is so far fronted by his new single, “Ultra Black.”

After sharing the album’s iTunes pre-order link, fans realized they were able to see the King’s Disease cover art and discovered that the album will feature 14 tracks in total, for 41 minutes of music. “Ultra Black” is No. 4 on the project.

In addition to the album’s title, release date and cover art, Nas also shared a trailer on Instagram that shows behind-the-scenes footage of himself and Hit-Boy hard at work on the record. The collaborated project has been a long time in the making, Nas explained.

“I’ve been trying to do this with this man for years,” he said. “I finally got that time to work, that alignment.”

Although he couldn’t give away too many details about the album, Hit-Boy previously said it was an “honor” to work with Nas during an interview with REVOLT.

“Just being able to be in the studio with him was an honor, for sure,” the mega-producer shared. “But, making real, top-notch quality music, that made it that much more sweet. We wasn’t in there like, “Oh, you Hit-Boy, I’m Nas. We gonna make just anything.” Nah, like this sh*t really shines, it’s spiritual. So, we’re gonna see, in time, what happens with it.”

The record will follow two years after Nas’ 12th studio album Nasir, which was executive produced by Kanye West and saw features from Tony Williams, Diddy, The-Dream and more. Last year, Nas unearthed The Lost Tapes 2.

King’s Disease is due next Friday (Aug. 21). Find the album’s cover art and Nas’ announcement below.
