Iggy Azalea has confirmed the rumors that she and Playboi Carti welcomed a son back in May. Taking to her Instagram Story on Wednesday (June 11), the Australian rapper shared the news.

“I have a son,” Azalea wrote. “I kept waiting for the right time to say something but it feels like the more time passes the more I realize I’m always going to feel anxious to share news that giant with the world.”

“I want to keep his life private but wanted to make it clear his is not a secret and I love him beyond words,” she continued.

Azalea was rumored to be six months pregnant back in December. At the time, she denied the rumors and revealed that she and Playboi Carti had split up by posting “I’m single” on her Instagram Story. Later on, the rapper apologized for the hasty announcement.

“I need to make an apology,” she posted on the social media platform. “It’s not my character to put out whatever business I go through in my private life on the internet for the world to comment on. I felt very upset and I made an impulse choice I immediately regretted, but it was too late to undo.”

“The truth is I love Jordan very much, I always will – more than you could ever know,” she wrote about Carti. “That’s all the world should ever need to hear and i am sorry for making something public that should always remain private between him & I no matter what.”

The couple was also rumored to be engaged, which neither has confirmed nor denied. They made headlines against last year when their Atlanta home was burglarized. Azalea was reportedly home at the time, and $366,000 worth of jewelry was stolen from the house.
