The Notorious B.I.G.’s 48th birthday will be celebrated today (May 21) with the second annual “Biggie Dinner.” Although the in-person dinner has been rescheduled due to the pandemic, a virtual edition of the event will take place on Instagram Live today, beginning at 2 pm EST on Lil Cease’s Instagram.

“Our 2nd Annual Biggie Dinner has been postponed, but we’re taking it virtual!” Lil’ Kim announced Thursday (May 21). “It all starts with [Lil Cease] at 2pm est on IG Live! The Biggie dinner has been pushed to a later date. Hit up [Alyi V] for updates on tickets and sponsorships.”

Kim also shared a flyer for the event that read, “The 2nd annual biggie Dinner has been pushed back due to COVID-19, but that doesn’t stop us, we’re taking it virtual!”

“Join us as we celebrate Biggie’s life all day today on IG Live,” it continued. “More to be announced throughout the day!”

Kim, and several others, also paid tribute to Biggie with social media posts.

“Happy Biggie day guys!!!! Today we celebrate the King!” the 9 rapper wrote on Instagram. “Just a couple of kids from the hood trynna make it B.I.G!”

The likes of Snoop Dogg, Jadakiss, Trina and more also wished the late rap legend a happy birthday.

Last year, Kim hosted the inaugural Biggie Dinner with Lil Cease, her daughter Royal Reign, Biggie’s daughter T’yanna Wallace, Fat Joe, Fabolous, Jadakiss and more.

“Welcome to my first annual B.I.G. family dinner,” Kim wrote in an Instagram post after the 2019 event. “Happy Birthday Baby, we love you to the heavens. Special thanks to my girl [Alyi V] you killed this event. I am beyond grateful and thankful for all the hard work that you put in to making my dreams and ideas come to fruition and making this amazing event happen. What an epic, nostalgic, unforgettable night.”
