On Friday (May 15), Lil Baby posted a shocking statement on his Twitter account.

“Ain doing no more features,” he tweeted alongside a face-palm emoji. “Unless it’s worth it. I got tooo many.”

At the moment, it’s unclear what led to Lil Baby’s announcement. Earlier this week, the National Music Publishers Association confirmed that the Atlanta spitter is the biggest songwriter this year, explaining that he secured a total of 22 certifications within the first three months of 2020. “Thank you very much to my [Quality Control Music] team, Wolfpack, 4PF, [Universal Music Publishing Group], my family, friends and all my fans for keeping me going to write these hits,” he wrote alongside a photo that elaborated on the exciting news.

Lil Baby’s publishing group, Universal Music Publishing Group, also issued a statement on their artist’s success. “One of the most in-demand artists today, Lil Baby is a talented songwriter/artist and a proven hitmaker,” Chairman and CEO Jody Gerson said. “We are thrilled to be a part of his journey and look forward to supporting his continued success.”

Earlier this year, Lil Baby dropped his album, My Turn, as well as the deluxe version. For the LP, he teamed up with Gunna, Future, Lil Uzi Vert, Young Thug and more.

In addition to his buzzing music career, the Atlanta-bred rapper launched the My Turn Scholarship earlier this year. In a recent interview, Lil Baby revealed the motive behind his selfless decision. “I seen myself in that crowd, a couple times,” he began. “The main thing I want to pass on to these kids is they’re the future. You don’t really feel that you’re gonna be a leader of the world one day. I didn’t understand that. But now I do.”
