Tory Lanez is continuing to bring the entertainment during this pandemic. Not only has “Quarantine Radio” become one of Instagram’s biggest shows, the rapper is now taking his talents to YouTube.
“I’m bringing my energy to YouTube Friday May 1st!” Lanez said in a press release. “I’m going to be performing live on YouTube for the first time at 4 PM PST/7 PM EST! This will be viewable live to everyone globally.”
According to the MC, this innovation will be something that we have never seen before. He believes that the brand new technology will be something “where fans can interact with the artist first hand, request favorite songs, change the lighting and personalize how they want it to feel and look.”
The deals have been rolling in for the Chixtape 5 rapper. Last week, he told Billboard that MTV offered him a deal for his hit Instagram show.
“MTV offered me something like a little 30-minute segment, but I don’t know what I want to do,” he said. “But I want it to be something that the fans decide. If I end up coming up with an idea for it, hopefully, it’ll be on MTV.”
“Quarantine Radio” has seen guest appearances from Diddy, Raven Symoné, Trina, Drake, Fabolous, Chris Brown, Young Thug, Megan Thee Stallion, DMX, Wiz Khalifa and more. With twerk contests and talent shows, the show has caught the attention of hundreds of thousands of viewers at a time.
Lanez also just became an independent artist after releasing The Toronto 3. The mixtape landed at No. 1 album on the Billboard Top Rap Albums chart. Although the “Jerry Sprunger” rapper revealed that he has received huge offers from record labels, he plans to stay independent.
Lanez will also give a portion of his proceeds from his YouTube performance to charity.
