Celebrities around the world have been stepping up to the plate to assist those who are in need during the pandemic. Meek Mill and Kevin Hart have joined in Michael Rubin’s “All In Challenge” to raise money for COVID-19 relief.
Earlier this week, Rubin explained that the “All In Challenge” was created with the goal of “uniting the sports, business, and entertainment communities to start the largest digital fundraising movement ever.” Rubin is aiming to raise “tens of millions of dollars or more” to help those who are most affected by Coronavirus.
“COVID-19 has impacted our lives in such an unprecedented way, but through it all, I’ve been encouraged by our country’s relentless desire to help others, especially around the ever-growing number of families now struggling to find food,” Rubin stated in a press release.
He continued, “That spirit was the inspiration behind wanting to start the ‘All In Challenge’ and bring together the sports, business and entertainment communities to create the largest digital fundraising movement ever to feed those in need. It takes unity and strength in numbers to save lives and ensure that our most vulnerable populations have consistent access to healthy meals. I’m overwhelmed by the incredible response by so many of the world’s most influential figures who are all rallying together to support this critical and timely issue.”
Anyone who chooses to participate simply has to upload a video of themselves accepting the challenge after someone else tags them. They also have to explain their inspiration behind getting involved and share what their donation will be.
Hart took to Instagram to share that his donation will be a speaking role in one of his next films.
“Hey everybody, I’ve accepted the #ALLINCHALLENGE!” he wrote. “Go to allinchallenge.com/kevin-hart and donate for a chance to win A SPEAKING ROLE IN MY NEXT MOVIE all while helping feed the hungry during this challenging time we all face together.”
Hart also made sure to tag his celebrity friends to keep the challenge going. He tagged LeBron James, The Rock, Nicole Kidman, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant.
Meek Mill has chosen to auction of his 2018 Rolls-Royce Phantom. The Championships rapper tagged James Harden and Floyd Mayweather to be next to join the challenge.
