After the Kansas City Chiefs claimed the 2020 Super Bowl on Sunday (Feb. 2), Young Thug had his own win to celebrate.
Taking to his Instagram Story, it appears that the YSL Records boss bet $250,000 on the game and won $620,000 when the Chiefs ultimately defeated the San Francisco 49ers.
“I betted a quarter, I bet $250 racks,” he can be heard saying in the clip. “I won $620,000.”
“We don’t lose at YSL. I said we’d win,” Thugger continued. “That’s all we do is win.”
This isn’t the first time Thug has won big. Back in December, the So Much Fun rapper apparently won a bet against Roddy Ricch for $40,000. It’s unclear what the bet was over, but Ricch previously admitted to owing Thug the money during an appearance on Power 106’s “L.A. Leakers.”
Thug also mentioned the debt during an Instagram video, where he lightheartedly said, “Somebody tell Roddy to bring me $40,000” after arriving in Los Angeles.
In other Thug news, the rapper was reportedly hospitalized last week, although the cause of his visit is still unknown. DJ Akademics shared the news to Instagram with a photo that showed Thug wearing a hospital wristband and connected to an IV. Back in September, Thug was also hospitalized for an unspecified surgery.
“I think it’s cause I’m still #1,” he had written on Instagram at the time, referring to his high-charting So Much Fun album. “Surgery went well…back on ni**as ass’s ‘PUNK’.”
At the end of last year, Thug dropped off a deluxe version of his successful album, which included five extra songs, including his Travis Scott and Gunna-assisted “Hot” remix. Scott and Gunna also appeared on the additional tracks “Diamonds” and “Hop Off A Jet.”
Thugger is set to hit the festival circuit later this year. The Atlanta-bred rapper is scheduled to perform at the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, Poland’s Orange Warsaw Festival and the Wireless Festival in London and Germany.
