Offset is making his debut as an actor. The Migos rapper will guest star on an upcoming episode of CBS’ “NCIS: Los Angeles.” The episode titled “Alsiyadun” is set to air this Sunday (Mar. 1) at 9 pm ET.
The press release states that Offset will play a character named Kadri Kashan Khan, who is “an undercover CIA Officer working for years in the Sinai Peninsula to embed himself with the local tribes by smuggling contraband so that he can monitor terrorists and weapons movements in that region.”
Not only will Offset show off his acting chops, but he is also premiering new music during the show as well. His new song “Danger” will make its world premiere during Sunday’s episode.
Offset reached out to LL Cool J about making an appearance on the show, but he wanted didn’t want to portray a “bad guy.” “I never wanted to come into acting and put into this category of ‘You be the bad guy all the time,’” he said. “I wanted to be able to show that I can do anything that someone sets in front of me.”
The Father of 4 rapper reveals that he studied for his role and is says that he is even performing his own stunts.
“I was studying ’cause I wanted to make sure I fulfilled the whole role. I didn’t want to play,” he explained. “I’m doing all my own stunts.”
LL Cool J praised him for his decision to stray away from a typical role. “He’s completely breaking type which I think is great,” LL said.
Offset’s wife Cardi B recently showed off her debut acting skills in the hit movie Hustlers. The “Bodak Yellow” rapper played a Bronx-born stripper named Diamond who taught a newbie how to give lap dances in the strip club.
