Young Thug gifted Rowdy Rebel with a pair of iced out chains just hours after he was released from prison.
Back in August, the Slime & B emcee took to Instagram to repost a meme that said Rebel and Bobby Shmurda were the “definition of loyalty and principles.” Thugger captioned the post, “When they get out, I fasho got some for em.. real n*ggas are still on earth. Rewards don’t come with keeping it real, but in this case IT DOES. Charlamagne was right for once.”
On Wednesday (Dec. 16), Rebel shared a video of the chains to Instagram. “Wipe ya nose,” he captioned the post. “[Young Thug] said No kizzy. Appreciate you Slat. Love Forever bro. #STILLFREEGS9.”
In addition to getting new jewelry, Rebel took to social media to share a message from Shmurda himself. “I love all y’all, I love all my fans, I love all the support,” he said on a phone call from prison. “We’ll be right there. Don’t even trip. Welcome home my big bro. You already know, you deserve it. We ’bout to turn up like no fucking tomorrow, ni*gga.”
Earlier this week, REVOLT reported on Rebel’s release. Back in 2014, he, Shmurda and 13 other GS9 affiliates were arrested by New York Police department officers. Rebel was charged with attempted murder, conspiracy, reckless endangerment, attempted assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to prison for six to seven years. In August, he appeared in court for his parole hearing.
Back in September, Shmurda appeared in court for his parole hearing, but he was denied an early release. The judge did not give a reason for the denial, but the “Hot N*gga” emcee will most likely remain behind bars until Dec. 2021.
