Bow Wow wants to revive “106 & Park.”
The “Shortie Like Mine” emcee took to Twitter to share a series of tweets with his fans about his ideas to bring the former Black-owned network back to what it used to be. “My only dream job now is I want to take over BET,” he tweeted on Monday (Dec. 14). “I want a high position. I was blessed to host, but NOW I want an office. I want to run and come up with content for the network. I know what they [are] missing. All you have to do is LISTEN to the people.”
He also wants the popular show to be filmed in Atlanta, Georgia. “Bringing ‘106 & Park’ to Atlanta! It’s time for a new energy, it’s time we move with the culture,” he wrote in a follow-up tweet. “‘106 & Park’ must be shot in ATL now. The pandemic hit, NYC is shut down. Business is booming here. All the celebs are here. That would be my 1st major move. LIVE AUDIENCE! On tv and Stream live.”
He continued, “Think about it… Mulatto never got the chance to hit the ‘106’ stage. Summer Walker, NLE Choppa, Yachty, Lil Baby, DaBaby, Megan [Thee Stallion], Jack Harlow….etc… list goes on! It’s crazy to know there is no platform we can call home or go to. We gotta change this ASAP!”
Additionally, Bow wants to bring back a few other classic shows, including “UNCUT,” “College Hill,” “Rap City” and “Cita’s World.” He also wants to create new content for the network, such as highlighting up-and-coming artists, creating animated content for Black children and giving T.D. Jakes and Kirk Franklin their own show on Sundays.
REVOLT would be more than happy to welcome Bow and his ideas here. Check out his tweets below.
