Funkmaster Flex has notably lost a significant amount of weight since his early years as a DJ, but he has not yet reached his goal. On Monday night (Nov. 30), the radio personality took to Instagram Live to document his latest attempt at dropping pounds: liposuction.

“For a while now @40dayreset has been amazing in helping me lose 40lbs! @drwerfel thank u so much!” Flex captioned a graphic clip that was later posted on his feed. “Today, I took a step I always wanted to try! @elitebodysculpture works on those hard areas… lower stomach, arm pit sides and back fat!”

“No anesthesia, awake the entire time! I really enjoyed it!,” he continued. “@drtonyperkins thank u! Home now, sore a little, able to go back to work tomorrow! You staff was amazing! @brittaninicholetucker x @drinksometee x @shawnarebekah. DO YALL SEE THE FAT GOING THROUGH THE TUBE IN REAL TIME?”

Flex’s video — which featured Wu-Tang Clan’s “Cream” song — caught social media users off guard, but they were ready to poke fun at him for his transparency.

“I can’t go to sleep after seeing Funk Flex get a BBL,” comedian Lil Duval tweeted before a few emojis. “Funk Flex next pic gon be him in the gym taking off his waist trainer showing us his sweat.”

“Funk Flex really said eff doing push-ups, let me go get lipo and have Wu-Tang ‘Cream’ playing in the background,” Twitter user @SonofAJones wrote. “2020 has been a wild year.”

Several memes showed visuals of what the DJ’s new body may possibly look like post-surgery, while hip hop enthusiasts couldn’t believe he would casually play music from the legendary Wu-Tang Clan while undergoing a cosmetic procedure. Many seemed to draw the consensus that 2020 has been a crazy year.
