A North Carolina woman who is preparing to walk down the aisle can now afford her dream wedding dress, thanks to Missy Elliott. The “Lose Control” star sent her the money via Cash App after coming across her story.
On Tuesday (Nov. 17), Ireanna Bradshaw hopped on Twitter with hopes to get financial assistance for her upcoming wedding. In a series of tweets, she shared her struggles in balancing wedding and moving costs, noting doubts she’d be able to pay for her dream gown — a $1,299 off-the-shoulder dress from David’s Bridal.
“I’m getting married in March & trying to move into our own place. Excited, but overwhelmed,” she tweeted. “I have been saving money, but it’s still a struggle. I found my dream dress, and I want to get it so bad, but between saving for the move, I dnt think it will be possible…,” she began.
“I never thought I’d find a love like this and never thought someone would want to marry me. With all my previous insecurities, I didn’t think I was worthy of love. Loving myself made me ready for love. I would be so grateful to have some support. Anything would help,” she continued, posting her Cash App information, a photo of the dress and pictures of her and her fiancé.
To her surprise, her tweet got the attention of Elliott who sent her a congratulatory message. “Early congratulations. May God bless you both with an unbreakable union full of love & happiness,” Elliott tweeted.
Elated by the acknowledgement, the soon-to-be bride thanked the producer and extended an invite to her wedding. “Omg, thank you so much…I’m literally speechless,” she wrote. “This is so sweet. You can come if you want. I’d love to have you.”
Elliott then delivered some great news to Bradshaw. “Your dress is paid for now,” she revealed. “I don’t know you, but I saw you said the dress of your dreams & figured I would help when I saw you post ya Cash App. May blessings pour on your beautiful wedding day with your future husband.”
