Billboard will be honoring Cardi B in a huge way. The “Bodak Yellow” emcee has been named as Billboard’s Woman of the Year.
According to the outlet, Cardi earned the title from her brand new Reebok deal, her involvement in political activism and for her highly successful Megan Thee Stallion-assisted single “WAP,” which topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart for several weeks.
Billboard’s Women in Music event is set to air virtually on Dec. 10 at 8 p.m. ET. The show will be hosted by Teyana Taylor and other artists such as Jennifer Lopez, Chloe x Halle and Dolly Parton will also be honored.

Cardi also voiced her concerns about the state of America and its effect on the people who reside here. “I feel like this country is so hurt, to the point that this year, a lot of people couldn’t even celebrate July 4th, because not everybody feels like an American,” she explained. “A lot of people feel like [they’re] not even part of America.”
The former “Love and Hip Hop New York” star also spoke out against police brutality in the Black community. Following the horrific shooting of Jacob Blake, she took to social media to share her response. “Wow this is SICKENING!” she wrote. “I can’t believe it! What’s going to be the excuse now?”
“They just don’t give a fuck no more!” Cardi’s post continued. “SOMETHING MUST HAPPEN! Yooo this is insane they really not giving a fuck anymore. Lord please!”
Congratulations to Cardi B on being named Billboard’s Woman of the Year.
