Jeremih’s fans were shocked over the weekend when it was revealed that the singer had been admitted into the Intensive Care Unit at a Chicago hospital for COVID-19. It was Hitmaka who first shared the troubling news of Jeremih’s health scare, writing on social media, “I need everyone to pray for my brother [Jeremih].”
He added, “My dawg changed my life. He gone pull thru.”
50 Cent confirmed in his own post that Jeremih had been admitted into the ICU for the Coronavirus. The New York MC asked fans for their prayers, while posting, “He’s not doing good… this covid shit is real.”
Thankfully — according to a new update from 50 — it appears Jeremih was doing slightly better as of Sunday night (Nov. 15). On Instagram, 50 Cent shared the latest news on the “Don’t Tell ‘Em” singer’s health.
“Thank you for praying for my Boy [Jeremih],” 50 wrote. “He is responsive today, doing a little better.”
Fans and fellow artists have continued to send their prayers and well wishes to Jeremih as he battles the novel virus. On Twitter, Chance the Rapper wrote, “Please if you can take a second to pray for my friend Jeremih, he is like a brother to me and he’s ill right now. I believe in the healing power of Jesus so if you can for me please please say a prayer over him.”
Wale also sent his best to the singer, tweeting, “Praying for my dawg [Jeremih].”
Unfortunately, Jeremih is one of several hip hop and R&B artists who have suffered from the Coronavirus this year. Scarface, Slim Thug, Trey Songz and others previously revealed their positive diagnoses and shared their health battles with the deadly virus.
