Megan Thee Stallion is finally dropping her debut album. The “Big Ole Freak” emcee took to Instagram to announce that her first LP, Good News, will be released in just a few days.
“Hotties, I first want to say thank you for riding with me, growing with me and staying down with me since my first mixtape, Rich Ratchet,” she captioned the post. “Through this rough ass year we’ve all been having, I felt like we could all use a lil bit of good news. So, with that being said, MY OFFICIAL ALBUM GOOD NEWS IS DROPPING NOVEMBER 20. PRE-ORDER WILL BE AVAILABLE TONIGHT. #GOODNEWSMEGAN.”
It has been a big year for the Houston native. She recently racked up three BET Hip Hop awards out of the eight categories she was nominated in. Megan thanked BET for her awards on Instagram. “Hip Hop Artist of The Year, Hustler of The year, Best Collaboration,” she wrote. “LET’S GO HOTTIES REAL MF HOTGIRL SHIT. Thank you @bet.”
The Houston Hottie also graced the cover of TIME Magazine as one of the 100 most influential people of 2020. She joined the likes of Tyler Perry, Naomi Osaka, The Weeknd, Selena Gomez and 95 others who the publication described as “harnessing the power of influence to forge genuine progress.”
Aside from her accolades, Megan has been eating the charts up. Back in May, her Beyoncé-assisted single, “Savage (Remix),” became her first No. 1 Hot 100 song. Shortly after, she earned her second No. 1 by joining forces with Cardi B on the hit record, “WAP.” The record has spent 13 weeks on the Hot 100 chart so far.
Megan is also about giving back. In October, she launched the “Don’t Stop” scholarship to help two women of color fund their education. The scholarship will apply to any woman who is pursuing her associates, bachelors or post-graduate degree.
