King Von’s loss has been a hard pill for his fans, friends and family to swallow. In the days following his tragic shooting, the difficult process of mourning has been exacerbated due to online speculation about his last moments and most recently, a leaked photo of his autopsy.
Von was fatally shot outside of the Monaco Hookah Bar in Atlanta on Friday (Nov. 6). Nearly three days later, a graphic photo of his autopsy circulated the internet, getting the attention of his sister who took to social media to identify and call out the alleged leaker.
“THIS THE SICK MFER THAT POSTED MY BROTHER PICTURES!!!” Kayla B. wrote. “HE WORK[S] AT THE AIPORT MORTUARY. HIS WHOLE JOB KNOW[S] HE DID THE SHIT, BUT THEY TR[Y]NA PROTECT HIM!!! WE NEED HIM FIRED NOW!!!!”
A few days ago, Von’s manager, Track, was forced to address allegations that the rapper’s friends abandoned him during the gunfire, resulting in his fatal shooting. “I was there [a]n[d] got shot behind this. Y’all stop blaming people. Y’all don’t even know what happen or who was involved. Y’all see one camera angle and think y’all figured it out,” he said at the time.
The story of Von’s death is still developing, but the alleged gunman — Timothy Leeks — was taken into police custody and charged with murder.
Von was one of six people shot and one of two killed at the Atlanta nightclub. Initial reports stated he was in critical condition, but he later died of his injuries. Despite his premature death, Track told DJ Akademiks that the star’s hard work and dedication to his music will benefit his family and children in his absence. During the talk, he revealed that the emcee owned his masters and publishing, noting his family “will be good for the rest of they life.”
