Beyoncé season is upon us. Following a successful debut, the award-winning artist and entrepreneur is gearing up to release her second Ivy Park x Adidas collection later this month. Bey shared the good news, as well as a drop date, on Monday (Oct. 19).
“DRIP 2 October 30,” she posted on Instagram, along with a colorful flower field and the words, “This is my park.”
Although some fans were hoping the post was indicative of a new single or album, many were excited at the prospect of a new Ivy Park release. Back in January, many items sold out just one day after the line’s pre-launch. The debut collection consisted of orange, burgundy and off-white pieces including track pants, jackets, hoodies, dresses, sneakers, bras, bodysuits, cycling shorts, fanny packs and more.
Speaking about the line, Beyoncé previously said, “My team has worked hard with the Adidas team in bringing my vision to life for the first collection and I am grateful and proud. From the accessories to the clothes and footwear, I wanted to design and re-imagine pieces that serve as favorite armor for anyone who acknowledges the strength in their individual style and lives freely and boldly.”
Bey celebrated her first Ivy Park launch by sending gift boxes loaded with gear to several of her celebrity friends. A few lucky recipients included Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion.
The singer’s successful Adidas partnership also contributed to her placement on this year’s Forbes Richest Self-Made Women Under 40 List. Beyoncé, who made the list with a $420 million net worth, was accompanied by the likes of Rihanna, Serena Williams and more.
According to the publication, Bey’s voicing of Nala in the live-action Lion King also bolstered her earnings. Last month, after joining forces with the NAACP, she donated $1 million to support Black-owned small businesses.
