According to a new report by TMZ, Juice WRLD had around 2,000 songs in the works before he passed away. Sources close to the late raper told the outlet that his team is now discussing the possibility of his music being posthumously released.

The news arrives a week after Juice’s family issued their first public joint statement since his death, in which they suggested that new music from the rapper could be on the way.

“You guys meant the entire world to Juice and by listening to his music, watching his videos and sharing your stories about him, you are keeping his memory alive forever,” the statement read. “We plan to honor Juice’s talents, his spirit, and the love he felt for his fans by sharing unreleased music and other projects that he was passionately in the process of developing.”

Juice was recently posthumously featured on “Monster” from Eminem’s Music To Be Murdered By album, which was released earlier this month.

TMZ further reports that Juice was constantly recording new music. Last week, 26 of his unreleased tracks were leaked online, but they were soon removed from the internet. According to the outlet, Juice sometimes downloaded his music onto hard drives, which is what his team believes allowed the leak.

The “Lucid Dreams” rapper died on Dec. 8 from an accidental overdose following a drug bust in Chicago’s Midway Airport. It was previously reported that witnesses had seen Juice swallowing several unknown pills in an apparent effort to hide them from authorities. Soon after, the rapper suffered a seizure at the airport and was quickly taken to a local hospital. On Jan. 22, the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office revealed that a fatal mixture of oxycodone and codeine had been found in Juice’s system. He was only 21 years old.
