50 Cent has vented frustrations with Starz, the network that airs his show “Power,” for several months. It appears that tensions have peaked, with the rap mogul posting significant “Power” spoilers on Instagram this week.
“These people at Starz bugging out, talking to me like they crazy,” 50 captioned a since-deleted post on Monday (Jan. 20), as reported by XXL. “Like I ain’t who I am, they got me fu**ed up. I will put all this sh*t out tonight.”
Soon after sharing the message, 50 posted a video that seemingly revealed James “Ghost” St. Patrick’s killer—a major plot spoiler.
However, just when “Power” fans thought they’d uncovered the series’ ending, 50 backpedalled on the post by sharing a snippet of a Deadline interview with “Power” showrunner Courtney Kemp. In the interview, Kemp revealed that several variations of “Power” endings existed, due to the show’s problem with leaks.
“I will say we’ve filmed a lot of different things because things get leaked in the ‘Power’ world all the time, you know,” Kemp told the outlet. “It turns out that very often content slips away from us, so we’ve got a lot of different endings and false endings, real endings and truthful endings, all in the can.”
“Your gonna have to wait to find out who killed Ghost,” 50 captioned the post, adding “Admit it I’m good.”
“I will leak more before this is over,” he continued. “I’m prepared for ever possible thing WELCOME TO THE 50CENT SHOW.”
50 previously had beef with Comcast, Starz’s parent company, which he accused of “fu**ing up” his show. Back in October, he met with several lawmakers on Capitol Hill to advocate for Starz to remain available on Comcast Xfinity and discussed the importance of diversity and representation in the entertainment industry.
The sixth season of “Power” returned earlier this month. Find 50’s since-deleted spoilers here.
