Juelz Santana may be getting out of prison as early as next year. On Saturday (Dec. 28), the Dipset rapper’s wife, Kimbella, took to Instagram to share the good news.
“Fu*k out of here 2019!!” she captioned a photo of her incarcerated husband. “Summer 2020 my HUSBAND will be home, bring on the new year so we can start our new beginning!!”
According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons records, Santana is set to be released from the Petersburg, Virginia Federal Correctional Institution on Feb. 10, 2021. However, he could be released early for good behavior.
“We did our longest leg in the feds now we’re on our shortest leg count down til he comes, the kids and I are so looking forward to it!” Kimbella’s post continued. “This year was tough but we got through it through the grace of GOD! I am grateful my husband is doing well doing what he has to do. Juelz says WHAT UP and he’ll be home soon.”
Santana also shared the same photo to his own Instagram account without a caption.
Back in March 2018, Santana attempted to bring a loaded .38 caliber handgun and eight Oxycodone pills through security at the Newark Liberty International Airport. After TSA found the items in his bag, the veteran rapper initially fled the scene, hopping into a taxi and escaping authorities. However, he turned himself in a few days later and in August pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a controlled dangerous substance. In December, he was sentenced to 27 months in prison.
Before beginning his prison sentence this March, Santana married his longtime girlfriend, Kimbella. The two enjoyed a January wedding service, which was attended by Dipset family members Cam’ron, Jim Jones and Freekey Zekey, as well as Lil Kim, Maino, Joe Budden, Remy Ma, Papoose and more.
