After a midseason hiatus, Epix’s “Godfather of Harlem” returned in August and fans were able to enjoy the star-studded soundtrack that enhanced the season. A stand-out cut “Please Forgive Me” sees the fusion of Hip Hop OG Swizz Beatz and Bay Area’s very own Larry June, and the accompanying visual arrives today (Aug 27). The visual is in line with the spirit of the show, featuring scenes of the duo counting money, doing business, and everything in between as Swizz opens up with his vocals:

Please forgive me, Lord, forgive me for all my sins/ What a man gotta do? What a man gotta do?

Then, June slides in with his smooth bars:

You know the game get tricky, but real Gs find a way, sleep with my eyes open, pray the streets don’t take me/ I’ve been calculating daily, n***as telling dudes you selling, shit crazy, shit changing/ But this lifestyle made me, but this pain really made me who I am/ I’ve been going so hard, I cannot stop now

Following the release of “Prince Hakeem” with ADÉ and India Shawn, “Been To War” with DMX, French Montana, and Swizz Beatz, and “Forgot About the Streets” with Melvoni, Badda TD, and Brillo, a more recent cut was “No Bark When I Bite,” a collaboration between Rick Ross and the Natalia Kills-led band Cruel Youth. The full soundtrack includes appearances from names like Buddy (who was also on the season 1 soundtrack), DDG, and more.

Back in June, Larry June unleashed his Orange Print project and has been providing smooth visuals for his fans to vibe to at a steady pace ever since. First up was “Still Cookin,” then cuts like “6am In Sausalito” and “Intercepted” featuring Money Man. Since its release, the Orange Print already surpassed 25M streams and cracked the Billboard Top 200 for the first time in his career. At the tail end of 2020, Larry June slid in one last project Numbers after a busy and successful year. Named after one of his most popular ad-libs, the Numbers project includes features from Ro James, Dej Loaf, Jay Worthy, Monroe Flow, and more.
