At this point, it’s safe to say that EST Gee has quickly become one of the hottest rappers out, having aligned himself with some of the biggest names in hip hop. Today, the former athlete liberates his latest project Bigger Than Life Or Death, which contains 15 tracks with additional assists from Future, Young Thug, Lil Durk, Yo Gotti, and Pooh Shiesty, and more. In addition to its title track, the release was led by the well-received drops “Lick Back,” and “Capitol 1.”
One of the bigger standouts from Bigger Than Life Or Death is the Enrgy Beats-produced “5500 Degrees,” a flip of Juvenile’s classic cut “400 Degreez” that sees EST Gee, Lil Baby, 42 Dugg, and Rylo Rodriguez delivering raps about street politics, current fame, and more:
“If I ain’t a young shiner, then what do you call that, fuckin niggas hoes, he mad textin’ in all caps, beef all day, lay a nigga down, we ain’t cap, overkill drill, spin it the building the wake at, I’ll be on what I’m on if I ain’t rap, really was no stressin’ till them members came back, niggas shook, family know we ain’t playin’ no more, real trapper hit my dope like my hand was broke…”
Last year, EST Gee kept his fans fed with Ion Feel Nun and I Still Don’t Feel Nun, the latter of which made landfall in December and featured collaborations with the likes of Kevin Gates, YFN Lucci, Moneybagg Yo, Jack Harlow, and Babyface Ray. In addition to his own work, Gee can also be heard contributing on songs like OMB Bloodbath’s “Not Gang,” Icewear Vezzo’s “Kobe Bryant,” Bankroll Freddie’s “Real Street Nigga,” Only The Family’s “I Ain’t Lying,” and more.
